PBR Windows

Mr. Paul Ring and his team have recently completed extensive work at St. Joseph's R.C. Church and Presbytery, Cardiff and the results are there for all to admire.

Two years ago he was commissioned to replace all the old wooden window frames and some doors with double glazed toughened glass retaining T.V., security alarms systems and telephone wires which were located in those areas in the Presbytery. Some of the window removal was quite difficult but everything was done with efficiency and cleanliness. The result was very impressive and the resulting warmth and sound proofing was much appreciated.

The project was carefully planned and preparations made for the total replacement of all the windows which were not of stained glass. They were originally plain, slightly tinted small panes of glass making up attractive patterns. The patterns were retained but the replacement panes were doubled glazed and coloured. Being toughened glass enabled us to get rid of metal protective screens and thus allowed more light into the church. Tasteful borders of four colours completed pleasing ventilation windows. Small, almost inaccessible tower windows were nevertheless tackled and replaced and the stained glass windows were given double glaze covers. The whole work was carried out with sensitive reference to the current use of the church for various religious services and the final result is quite beautiful and functional. I am grateful to Paul and his team and unreservedly recommend him for anyone wishing to have an important project well done.
